    September 2026 Police Activity Report

I wanted to share a look at police activity here in East Petersburg during the month of September, using the monthly statistics provided by the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department.

During September, our borough had 177 calls for service, with 103 police reports generated and 10 criminal arrests.

On the traffic side, officers conducted 17 traffic stops, issuing 15 citations and 2 warnings. There were also 5 reportable vehicle crashes investigated during the month.

The department also reported 25 patrol checks and 2 targeted traffic enforcement details in East Petersburg.

These numbers are specific to East Petersburg Borough and do not include activity from the other municipalities served by Northern Regional.

I think it’s important for residents to be able to see what’s happening right here in our borough, and I’d like to make sharing these numbers a regular monthly update.

    1st Hometown Horsepower Car Show

What a day! Huge thank you to everyone who came out to Hometown Horsepower today! I got the chance to speak with so many of you, and I truly appreciate everyone who came out to support our first car show and, most importantly, the Creamer Family AML Fund.

This show would not have been possible without the businesses and organizations that stepped up to support it. A huge thank you to Wayne’s Towing & Recovery, Shop 51, Bad Dads Garage, Lancaster Kia, Schwanger Bros., Simply Greek, Lucas Tool Sales, Classic Shine, Lancaster Nissan, Orion Pet Grooming, Fulton Bank, and the East Petersburg Events Committee.

Each of these businesses and organizations contributed to the show in different ways, and we truly could not have done it without them. Please remember the names that support events like this and support them whenever you can.

And I can officially say Hometown Horsepower will be back next year! If you missed us this year, be sure to follow the Hometown Horsepower page so you don’t miss what we have planned for 2027.

I also had the privilege of choosing one of today’s awards. With a lot of great cars to choose from, this BMW was my pick. Congratulations to the owner, and thank you for bringing it out!

Most of all, thank you to everyone who helped make our first year a success. I’m already looking forward to doing it again next year!

Another East Petersburg Days is in the books!

A huge thank you to the East Petersburg Events Committee and all of the volunteers who put so much time, hard work, and dedication into making the weekend possible. I was also grateful to be invited out Friday evening to say a few words and have the opportunity to personally recognize the people behind such a great community tradition.

Thank you as well to the East Petersburg-Landisville Lions Club for organizing the parade and continuing another great East Petersburg tradition.

Thank you to everyone who helped make East Petersburg Days 2026 possible!

  • 25 years ago today, America changed forever.

25 years ago today, America changed forever.

September 11, 2001 started like any other day. Americans went to work, boarded airplanes, took their kids to school and went about their morning. By the end of that day, thousands of innocent lives had been taken in a brutal act of terrorism, and countless families would never be the same.

Today we remember those who died at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, along with the passengers and crews aboard the hijacked planes. We remember the courage of the passengers and crew of Flight 93, whose actions helped prevent even greater loss of life. And we remember the families who have carried that loss for the last 25 years.

We also remember the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, military members and ordinary people who stepped up when others needed them most. Many ran toward danger to help people they had never met.

But when I think about September 11, I also think about what happened afterward.

People came together. Flags were everywhere. Churches were full. Neighbors checked on each other. Strangers helped strangers. We prayed together, supported our first responders and military, and remembered that we were all Americans.

25 years later, I think that part is worth remembering too.

Here at home, I am thankful for the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, dispatchers and all of our local first responders who continue to answer the call when our community needs them.

    John 15:13 says:

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Today, take a moment to remember those we lost, pray for the families who still carry that loss, and remember the courage and unity we saw in the days that followed.

May we never forget September 11, 2001.

God bless East Petersburg, and God bless the United States of America.

  • Welcome to the Digital Office of the Mayor

Welcome to the Digital Office of the Mayor

I created this website to give East Petersburg residents another simple way to stay connected, learn more about what I can help with, and reach me directly.

This is not an official Borough website, and it does not replace the Borough’s official notices, agendas, minutes, records, or announcements. It is a place for me to share community updates, recognize people doing good work, explain local issues in plain language, and communicate directly with residents.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope this Digital Office helps make local government feel a little more personal, understandable, and accessible.
