  • One Year Later: Remembering Charlie Kirk.

A year ago today , Charlie Kirk was assassinated.

No matter where you stand politically, what happened that day was evil. A husband, father, friend, and man of faith was taken from this world because  violence was chosen over disagreement.

Charlie was never afraid to say what he believed.  He encouraged people to get involved, ask questions, stand up for their convictions, and not be afraid to have difficult conversations. You didn’t have to agree with Charlie on everything to recognize the impact he had on a lot of people.

A year later, I think one of the most important things we can take from his life and his death is that disagreement should never turn into hatred. We have to find our way back to being able to disagree without seeing each other as enemies.

Today I’m remembering Charlie, praying for his family and friends, and praying for our country and I invite you to do the same.

May his memory  live on and his legacy never be forgotten.
